Atletico Madrid have brought in Cristian Ansaldi on a one year loan-deal. The Zenit left-back has passed his medical in the Spanish capital, along with other newcomer Antoine Griezmann, and is now set to play for Los Colchoneros.
After selling Filipe Luis to Chelsea this summer, the Spanish champions have now found their replacement in the 27-year-old Argentinian, who has played for Zenit since last year, after coming over from other Russian side Rubin Kazan.
Atletico have been busy this summer, already having signed Mandzukic, Griezmann and former Benfica keeper Jan Oblak. But with chances of several other key players leaving, such as centre-backs Godin and Miranda, the Spanish side have their work cut out for them, should they hope to defend their title successfully against Real Madrid and Barcelona, who have both spent big money on world class players.
Do you believe Atletico is up to the task with their current squad? Who do you think they should buy next? Let us know in the comments!
