Angry Atalanta threaten agent

Atalanta have threatened an agent with legal action after he said Sergio Floccari was heading to Juventus.

Vincenzo Morabito was quoted as saying Juve wanted Floccari to replace Vincenzo Iaquinta in the summer, but Atalanta have been angered by the suggestion.

"Mr Morabito is not the agent of footballer Sergio Floccari - his representative is Claudio Vigorelli," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Mr Morabito does not occupy any position within Atalanta. He does not have any say in the club's transfer policies.

"Atalanta reserve the right to take action in the proper places and warn him not to release statements that can interfere with affairs he has no right to deal with."

However, Morabito has denied making the comments, saying: "I never said that the player will join Juve. I never uttered those words.

"But it is evident that Atalanta's transfer campaign will revolve around his departure."
