Aston Villa forward Ashley Young has revealed he would like to follow Gabriel Agbonlahor and John Carew in signing a new contract with the club.
Young's fellow strikers have both put pen to paper on new long-term contracts in recent weeks and the 23-year-old England international would like to follow suit.
The speedy frontman joined the Midlands club in an £9.65million deal from Watford in January 2007.
"I am just happy playing my football, but if anything like that comes about, I'll be delighted," he said, referring to a new deal.
"I've got this season and two more years left. I'm happy, really happy with how things are going, happy here at Aston Villa.
"I am just looking to build on the performances of last season during this one and I'm glad we got off to a good start at the weekend against Manchester City.
"Would I like to commit to a new contract? Of course. It is a fantastic club. I am delighted I'm playing here."
