Young content with Villa stay

Aston Villa's England winger Ashley Young has pledged his future to the club, having been linked with a summer move away from Villa Park.

The 24-year-old former Watford forward has scored 19 goals in exactly 100 appearances since joining Villa and is adamant that he can continue to progress by staying at Villa Park.

He told the club's official website: "If you look at when I first came, I set myself a lot of goals.

"I've achieved some of them - like getting into the England team, winning Player of the Month awards and being named the PFA Young Player of the Year.

"There are still things that I want to achieve here. The club's on a high - on the way up - and hopefully so am I, so I'm happy here."
