Villa postpone first away clash

Martin O'Neill's side had been scheduled to visit West Ham on Tuesday, August 18 but will be involved in a Europa League play-off first leg that week on either August 19 or 20. Villa, who begin the campaign with a home game against Wigan on August 15, will have their first away league match instead at Liverpool on Saturday, August 22. But that could be put back 24 hours if Villa have to play in Europe on August 20 rather than 24 hours earlier.
