In-form Aston Villa have secured a trophy double after Ashley Young won the Player of the Month award for December while Martin O'Neill triumphed in the managerial equivalent.
It was the third monthly award former Watford winger Young received during 2008.
The 23-year-old said: "It's a massive achievement for me. It's the third time I've won it in the calendar year. But if I don't have the other boys out there with me I wouldn't be able to win this award.
"Our mentality is that we always go into every game thinking we're going to win.
"There's no game we'll go into and change our tactics. We're always on the front foot, planning to counter-attack, and I think teams are worried by the pace we've got.
"We wanted to start this year on a high, and that's what we've done. We're not going to get ahead of ourselves, there's a lot of games left."
Villa are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League matches since being beaten by Middlesbrough more than two months ago. Since then O'Neill's side have won six and drawn three matches.
