Sheri reveals Villa offer

West Ham's veteran striker Teddy Sheringham has admitted that he was offered the chance to join Aston Villa earlier this season.
The 40-year-old former England ace had struggled to secure regular first-team football in the opening weeks of the campaign, but was recalled for Sunday's clash with Blackburn Rovers.
Sheringham responded in style with a superb header that helped the Hammers win 2-1 and end a run of eight consecutive defeats.
However, he admitted afterwards: "When I am not involved in the 16, I sometimes wonder if I should move on.
"Aston Villa came in for me earlier in the season and I thought 'that would do for me'.
"I sometimes wonder why I am putting myself through all of this and then get disappointed in not being involved.
"But things change so quickly. Just a few weeks later I am involved in the team and scoring.
"I might sign another three-year contract with West Ham now!"
