Rams keen to re-sign Bannan

Derby County boss Nigel Clough is hoping to re-sign loan midfielder Barry Bannan again next season.

The 19-year-old Aston Villa starlet has impressed Clough during his brief stint at Pride Park, alongside fellow loanee from Arsenal, Nacer Barazite.

"We will have a chat about Nacer Barazite in the next week or so, and Barry Bannan, who has done ever so well for us since coming in, he will go back to Aston Villa because they want to keep him," said Clough.

"But he is one we would certainly look at trying to get back for next season for a loan spell.

"He is a great lad to work with and most importantly he is a good player."
