Paul Lambert and Villa get business done early
From the second the final whistle blew on Aston Villa's 6 goals to one thrashing of Sunderland to confirm safety for season 2013-2014.
The question on all Villa fans lips was who would be bought in to improve the team of young fledgling talent on display at Villa Park they didn't have to wait long with Bulgarian midfielder Aleksandar Tonev from Lech Poznan a recommendation from Villa's famous number 19 Stillian Petrov who was soon followed by two big signings on the same day.

Since the end of the season Paul Lambert has been keen to quash rumours linking Last season surprise package Christain Benteke with a moves away from Villa Park as a canny Scotsman Lambert as put a price tag of over £25,000,000 plus Euros on the big Belgian fans favourites head. As the day go flying by towards the start a new season which see's Aston Villa face a tough start away at Arsenal. With this in mind Lambert then completed his fifth signing bringing in Antonio Luna from Mallorca in to provide competition to the much needed left back berth.
With young talented keeper Jed Steer signed from Lambert's former charges Norwich Aston Villa's faithful support will be hoping to be away from the relegation battle and nail biting of last season.
