Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has rejected claims that he is keen to sign Spanish defender Roberto Canella.
Canella, 20, was reported to be interesting the Villa chief following his form for newly-promoted side Sporting Gijon in the Spanish top-flight this season.
However, O'Neill insists he is not interested in the Spain Under-20 international left-back.
"There is no substance in the story whatsoever," he told the club's official website.
His denial comes just days after he issued a similar rejection of a story which claimed he was on the trail of West Ham United's England defender Matthew Upson.
