No Villa deal for Mandanda

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has decided not to offer a permanent contract to Le Havre goalkeeper Steve Mandanda who had been on trial at the club.
The France Under-21 international handed in a transfer request at the Ligue 2 side at the end of last season but failed to impress O'Neill, who is looking for a new keeper to provide competition for Thomas Sorensen.
"We will be monitoring him, but we never got as far as discussing a price," the Villa boss told the club's official website.
"He trained with us for three or four days and he trained well. He did well.
"We will keep an eye on things, but we will certainly not be doing anything in the near future."
