Aston Villa boss Graham Taylor has claimed that he has received no offers for his wantaway Turkish international Alpay.
An increasingly frustrated Taylor is desperate to seal Alpay's move away from Villa Park so he can make some signings of his own.
Reports suggested Blackburn had had an offer for the midfielder rejected but Taylor has said that was not the case.
"I've said before that we would have to move people out before we could consider incoming transfers. So the longer it goes on, the less chance there is of moving anybody in.
"There was an enquiry from Blackburn, not a bid. The position of John Curtis was mentioned, that was a no-go and they were asked to put a bid in. As far as I'm aware, they haven't. It's as simple as that.
"We'll just have to wait and see. Alfie came back yesterday and trained very, very well. Obviously I'll sit down and talk with him again, because you'd like to think he'll be aware of certain things, if they are happening.
"We've all been through this before, where there's been stories galore and nothing happened. We're going through it again with stories here and there. But no-one's made a bid."
