Magnus Troests snow goal Livorno v Varese

These days in Britain it only takes a little bit of frost to dust the surface of a football pitch to cause a postponement. But in Italy, not even a full-scale blizzard can halt proceedings, as this Serie B match between Livorno and Varese at the Stadio Armando Picchi showed on Tuesday night. As much as it is impressive that the game actually went ahead (and finished), questions must be asked over who decided to play with a white ball? As seen in the video, any spectator watching the game (and there wasn't many who fancied freezing in the stands) would have had plenty of trouble seeing what was going on.
