Hutton admits Villa frustration
Alan Hutton is refusing to give up on winning his place back in Paul Lambert's plans at Aston Villa. Scotland international Hutton, who is set to feature against Serbia in his country's opening World Cup qualifier, has found himself frozen out of the first-team picture since Lambert's arrival at Villa Park. The 27-year-old has been forced to train away from the first team with the club trying and failing to offload him during the summer transfer window. Former Rangers and Tottenham full-back Hutton admits he finds himself in a difficult situation, but he hopes to force himself back into first-team contention. "It's frustrating," said Hutton. "I work hard every time I step out on the training pitch. I also do extra work on my own. I pride myself on my fitness. "As a footballer, it is the worst situation to be in, sitting and not getting the chance to play. It's not ideal. "It's hard to take, but the only thing I can do is keep working hard and show him I'm ready if needed."
