Gabby scotches exit talk

Rising Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has pledged his future to the club amid speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal. The 21-year-old forward has been mentioned as a possible £12million transfer target for the Gunners when the transfer window reopens in January. But the Birmingham-born youngster claims he is not looking to leave Villa Park after recently putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract. Agbonlahor, who is a graduate of the club's academy system, has netted five times in 13 appearances this season. "I'm flattered to hear things like being linked with Arsenal, but it's pure speculation," he said. "I don't want to say too much because it's just a rumour, but I'm playing for my hometown club, things are going really well and I'm happy at Villa. "I'm a local lad who is enjoying my football. There is no reason why I want to leave Villa."
