Aston Villa's rising star Gabriel Agbonlahor has set his sights on securing a call-up to the senior England squad, having impressed in recent times for the under-21s.
The 21-year-old forward has become a regular for the England junior side and hopes to move up a level by continuing to impress for Villa, for whom he has netted six goals already this season.
Agbonlahor said: "Anyone who is born in this country would want to play for England.
"At the moment I'm concentrating on Villa, but, if the call comes from England, I would love to take it.
"Doing well in the Premier League is bound to give you a chance at international level. International football is a lot different to club football but I feel I could adapt because I've played quite a few games for the Under-21s."
Meanwhile, another Villa striker, Luke Moore, has extended his deal with the Midlands club until the end of next season, after the club took up an option for a further 12 months on his existing deal.
