Dunne targets tight unit
Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne is targeting more clean sheets in the hope the club will win more games and climb the table. Gerard Houllier's men face a tough test when they welcome Premier League leaders Chelsea to Villa Park at the weekend. The Republic of Ireland international is determined to help Villa shut up shop so that the likes of Ashley Young, Stewart Downing, Gabby Agbonlahor and Emile Heskey can start firing at the other end. The 31-year-old told the club's official website: "I think when I came last year with James (Collins) and Stephen (Warnock) we started off with a clean sheet against Birmingham and then followed it up with another, but then we didn't have one for quite a few games after that. "It was frustrating for us all because we just wanted to keep one to get our confidence back. "It's similar now. We've had one then conceded again. "We just want to get into a run now with keeping it tight at the back. "We know with the strikers we've got and the options we've got up front that we'll always have a chance of scoring. "So as defenders, if we keep clean sheets, it gives us the confidence that we'll score goals and win more games than we'll draw and lose this season."
