Demidov attracts interest

Aston Villa and Stoke are reportedly interested in Rosenborg defender Vadim Demidov. Scouts for Villa are understood to have watched the 22-year-old Norwegian in several games, while Stoke boss Tony Pulis saw the 2-2 draw with Sandefjord on 19th May. But his agent Jim Solbakken, while admitting there has been interest in the player, refused to name specific clubs. He told Verdens Gang: "Many have been here to have a look at Vadim - it is a reflection on how well he has been playing. "But I am not going to get involved in any name dropping in the media." The player himself, who joined Rosenborg from Honefoss BK in November 2007 on a three-year-contract, insists he wants to stay and win trophies with the club. "I haven't heard anything about this. I really don't want to know about these things, as long as it is nothing concrete," he said. "I feel that I have a lot left to prove in Norway and for Rosenborg. I want to win something with Rosenborg and I like it here. "Regardless, it is up to the club to decide if they wish to sell. But I think that I have taken big steps this year." Meanwhile, Spanish outfit Almeria have reportedly tabled an offer for Rosenborg midfielder Alexander Tettey, who scored five goals for the club this term. But the club's sporting director Erik Hortun told Adresseavisen: "Generally, I can say that an offer of €2million (£1.7m) is too low for a player like Tettey."
