Davis set for Fulham move

Aston Villa midfielder Steven Davis is poised to follow Aaron Hughes in joining Fulham in a £4million deal.
Hughes completed a £1million move to Craven Cottage earlier in the week and Davis looks set to follow suit, as Villa boss Martin O'Neill prunes his squad ahead of the expected arrival of West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.
Davis, who like Hughes is a Northern Ireland international, will join up with former international manager Lawrie Sanchez at Fulham.
The 22-year-old still has two years remaining on his Villa Park contract, but was used sparingly by manager Martin O'Neill during his first season at the club.
"Things are a bit up in the air at the minute unfortunately," Davis told the Belfast Telegraph.
"I am going back to Villa next week and pre-season training starts on Wednesday. I'll have a chat with the manager then, see where I stand at the club and take it from there.
"Of course it's been a frustrating time for me as every player wants to be playing games on a regular basis. It didn't really happen for me last season so it's very important that changes for me next season.
"My name has been linked with a lot of different clubs, but I'll wait and see what the gaffer has to say and take it from there. Who knows where I will end up next season."
