Chelsea hit back at Aston Villa boss over John Terry tackle

John Terry has texted James Milner to explain there was no intent behind the Wembley tackle which angered Martin O'Neill, but he stopped short of an apology. Flying in: John Terry tackles James Milner before consoling the injured Aston Villa midfielder (below) Terry believes he won the ball fairly, nudging it aside with the outside of his boot before his momentum carried him into Milner's leg during the FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Aston Villa. Villa manager O'Neill branded it 'horrendous' and said Terry should have been sent off and not just booked. ButChelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said: 'John tried to speak with Milnerafter the game on Saturday. He went to the dressing room but it waslocked.  'For him, I don't think it was a problem to say sorry. It was a tackle that can happen. 'Ithink the yellow card was right. 'The rules say that, if you haveintention to touch the ball, it's not a red card. 'I saw the tackleagain on the television and John touched the ball before making contactwith Milner. 'I know that John texted Milner and, for Milner, it was OK.'  You're so sly!
