Aston Villa will be without John Carew for their two-match Easter programme after the striker was ruled out with a calf problem.
The Norway international, who arrived at Villa Park from Lyon in January, picked up the injury in last weekend's 1-1 stalemate with Everton and will now miss Saturday's trip to Blackburn Rovers and the Bank Holiday Monday visit of Wigan Athletic.
Carew has netted twice in seven appearances for Villa but his absence opens the door for Juan Pablo Angel to make a possible return to first-team action.
"Big John is going to be out," confirmed Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
"He has picked up a calf injury which is a big blow to us. A scan on Thursday morning came up with something and he will miss the Easter.
"He will definitely be a loss to us. We will have to change our game. We will have to change our strategy in some aspects, of course.
"But these are Premiership games and we have got to get on with it. We have options and obviously without John we will adjust our game."
