Bouma nearing Villa comeback

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has offered a glimmer of hope that Dutch defender Wilfred Bouma could be fit for the start of the new Premier League season.
The 31-year-old has been sidelined for just over a year after suffering a serious ankle injury in an Intertoto Cup clash with Odense last July, with a second operation needed to finally fix the problem.
However, Bouma is now back in training and was included in the Villa squad for a pre-season trip to Spain.
O'Neill told the Express & Star: "He is back training. He is pretty happy with proceedings and it's just taking a bit more time.
"He had that setback, but seems to have recovered from that.
"I reckon he might be back some time in August, but please don't hold me to that."
