Agbonlahor eyes new deal

Aston Villa winger Gabriel Agbonlahor is keen to pledge his long-term future to the club.

The 20-year-old has burst into the Villa first team this term under boss Martin O'Neill and has now scored seven goals in 43 appearances for the club.

O'Neill has previously said he hopes to tie the player down to an improved deal at Villa Park and Agbonlahor said: "Hopefully we can try and sort something out.

"This is the club I want to be at. I want to be at Villa for the future.

"I'm not sure how long the deal is we're talking about. I haven't had any information on that."

Meanwhile, promising striker Adam McGurk is out for the season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in training.
