Williams sticks with Bees

Brentford have extended the loan of Aston Villa striker Sam Williams until the end of the season. Williams originally joined the Bees on a one-month loan deal after Nathan Elder suffered a season-ending injury. However, the youngster will now see out the campaign at Griffin Park as he looks to help the club to promotion from League Two. He has made three substitute appearances for Brentford to date and scored a late equaliser in the recent 3-3 draw with promotion rivals Wycombe. Williams, who has also been on loan at Walsall this season, was due to make his first start for Brentford in Monday's game at Dagenham & Redbridge before floodlight failure prompted the game to be called off.
