Weale inspired by Villa keeper

On-loan Bristol City goalkeeper Chris Weale has revealed how reading Brad Friedel's book inspired him to score an injury-time goal for Yeovil. The 27-year-old, on loan at his former club until the end of the season, headed home a corner to earn the Glovers a 2-2 draw against Hereford and ease the Somerset club's relegation fears. Weale attributed the feat to a book entitled 'Thinking Outside the Box' by Aston Villa keeper Friedel. "I have to thank (Yeovil midfielder) Paul Warne really because he told me I should read Brad Friedel's book. I went out and bought it the other day, flicked through the pictures and saw him celebrating scoring a goal against Charlton," Weale told Yeovil's official website. "I remember thinking 'you never know, that could happen to me' and now it has happened and it's amazing. "One of the lads said to me 'you'll never experience that feeling again.' It was a buzz and I went mad. I never get the chance to celebrate like that. It was the timing of the goal as well."
