Warnock: Villa will come back brighter
Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock believes the team will emerge stronger after this season's near-misses.[LNB] Villa reached the final of the Carling Cup and the FA Cup semi-finals before narrowly missing out on qualification for the Champions League, finishing sixth in the Premier League.[LNB]The 28-year-old told AVTV: "I think it has been successful. I think it has been disappointing at times, where you get to Wembley and you don't get the rub of the green.[LNB]"Those things happen. But hopefully they will make the group stronger as a team and we'll come back and hopefully get to a final next year and win it.[LNB]"As for fourth place, I think we probably just drew a few too many games here and there and I think having the knowhow of turning them into victories will hopefully stand us in good stead for next year."
