Warnock vents fury at officials

The cash-strapped Eagles led 2-1 with three minutes to go thanks to Darren Ambrose's stunning free-kick, but the officials incorrectly awarded a corner, after the ball had hit Nathan Delfouneso, that allowed Stiliyan Petrov to head home an equaliser for Martin O'Neill's side.[LNB]Warnock told ITV1: "I am absolutely devastated. We played a Premier League team and worked our socks off.[LNB]"But their second goal was a disgrace. We have a Premier League referee and we got Mr Massey laughing his head off all afternoon with the flag.[LNB]"If you look at it the goalie saves it and it comes off (Nathan) Delfouneso and neither of them wanted to make a decision.[LNB]"They (the officials) wait and wait and wait to see which what they should give it. It's a disgrace, he should be banned for weeks should (assistant referee Trevor) Massey. All he can do is smile."[LNB]When asked if he had spoken to the officials Warnock said: "They don't say anything do they. They said to come back in half hour after you have calmed down and they say 'we'll have a look at it on the video and get some feedback from our assessors'."[LNB]"I thought Villa were outstanding and they had to be to play against us. We were committed and that is a travesty for my lot.[LNB]"But we have shown we have a lot of talent and we are a genuine club, it was a great cup tie. It was a great game where we struggled early on but came back well."[LNB][LNB]
