Villa recall Shorey from Forest loan
Shorey has been on loan with Billy Davies' side for the past two months and has played a key role in Forest climbing into second spot in the table.[LNB]But Villa boss Martin O'Neill has recalled the former England international because of a shin injury to first-choice left-back Stephen Warnock.[LNB]Shorey was on the substitutes' bench for Wednesday night's home clash with Arsenal with Luke Young switching from right-back to fill Warnock's role.[LNB]Shorey had started the season as Villa's first choice but the arrival of Warnock for £8million from Blackburn led to him losing his place.[LNB]Davies has indicated he would like to sign Shorey for the remainder of the current campaign on loan.[LNB]But the fact O'Neill has brought him back to Villa Park suggests Warnock's injury could involve a lengthy absence from action.[LNB][LNB]
