Aston Villa are interested in Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas and are ready to gazump rivals Wolves for Serbian midfielder Nenad Milijas.

Villa manager Martin O'Neill has been linked heavily with Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone but wants more mobility to his midfield and £10m-rated Jenas has been earmarked.

Jenas, 26, endured an inauspicious start under manager Harry Redknapp, which resulted in him losing the vice-captaincy after their league defeat at Wigan in January.

On the move: Aston Villa are set to raid Spurs for £10m-rated England midfielder Jermaine Jenas as a replacement for Gareth Barry

He sought clear-the-air talks with Redknapp, who assured him of hisfuture, but Jenas remained unconvinced and believes the manager wouldlet him go for the right price as he looks to put his own stamp on theclub.
