Villa boss O'Neill lines up Everton's Lescott to replace crocked Laursen
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has identified Everton defender Joleon Lescott as a replacement for the injured Martin Laursen.
The Dane needs another major knee operation and Villa boss Martin O'Neill has been given the green light by club owner Randy Lerner to make a move for Lescott in the summer.
Lescott signed a new deal at Goodison Park a year ago but he was bornin Birmingham and could favour a move back to his roots, according to The Daily Mirror.
