Villa boss O'Neill forgives Reo-Coker by naming midfielder in Carling Cup squad

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has been true to his word and forgiven midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker for their training ground clash last week. The pair had an angry exchange in front of the rest of the squad, with Reo-Coker grabbing his boss by the neck of his jersey, when told he should have passed instead of shooting. It led to the former West Ham and Wimbledon midfielder being banished from the club until yesterday when he trained with the first team again and then did another session by himself in the afternoon. O'Neill insisted last week's 'contretemps' would be forgotten in a couple of days, has now accepted Reo-Coker's apology and considers the matter closed. The 25-year-old admits he swore at O'Neill and will now be in the squad for tomorrow night's Carling Cup tie at home to Cardiff City after missing the weekend Premier League defeat of Portsmouth.BnN6
