Martin O'Neill has admitted that Stiliyan Petrov is doubtful for the start of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder. The Aston Villa midfielder picked up the injury during Wednesday's Peace Cup victory over Atlante and has since undergone a scan. O'Neill is waiting to discover how long he can expect to be without the Bulgarian and is set to find out in the next day or two. "It's a concern to us," said the manager. "It's pretty obvious at this moment that he may be a doubt (for the start of the season). "Roddy MacDonald (the club doctor) put the shoulder back in immediately. "At this stage we just don't know about the length of time he will be out. We cannot tell just how much damage he has done. "We'll see how the injury is in the next couple of days."
