The Insider: Sevilla offer Dos Santos escape from Spurs

[LNB]Chairman Daniel Levy keeps the club in good order but it is difficult to offload some of their players when they still demand premium prices.[LNB] Levy would have been delighted with the brilliant goal Dos Santos scored against USA in the Gold Cup at the weekend and that will help convince Sevilla to close a deal for the former Barcelona whizzkid. [LNB]The 22-year-old moved to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2008 for ?5.3million but has had a torrid time in north London and has been loaned to Ipswich Town and Turkish side Galatasaray. [LNB]He impressed on loan at Racing Santander in the tail end of last season and looked to be going there. However, their financial troubles have put paid to that and Sevilla are ready to put ?4m down with another ?3m to follow. [LNB]His goal may encourage a few bidders to come out of the woodwork but Sevilla are favourites.[LNB]The 21-year-old forward was highly-rated by Malaga before they were taken over by Qatari businessmen and the price tag is now going up. [LNB]He is 6ft 1ins tall and powerfully built and looks well-equipped for the Premier League but some scouts remain to be convinced. [LNB]Newcastle watched him a few times last season and Everton were also tipped off about his potential. Birmingham and Fulham were also alerted but all had varying reservations whether he could return much on an investment of around ?12m. [LNB]That was the price Malaga were looking for after a good first season where he arrived for ?3.5m from Las Palmas then scored 14 goals in 29 league games. [LNB]Manager Steve Kean is still exploring a move for Freiburg's Papiss Cisse and has eyes on Robbie Keane at Tottenham but both players have other options. [LNB]Kean is wary of the club paying too much over the odds and that's why a move for Rondon may stall.[LNB] NEIL DANNSCrystal Palace to CelticTHE INSIDER says: 1/5[LNB]JAMES MILNERManchester City to Aston VillaTHE INSIDER says: 2/5[LNB] [LNB]The 28-year-old midfielder has been courted by Celtic and Rangers and looked to be heading north of the border for a crack at the title and European football. [LNB]However, despite promising talks it looks more likely that he'll be turning them down in favour of staying in England with ambitious Championship side Leicester City. [LNB]Hull City, Southampton and Bolton have all been linked with the former Birmingham and Blackburn player but Sven Goran Eriksson's budget and plans have won him over. [LNB]Danns is holding a medical now in the East Midlands and should be one of several new additions to Eriksson's squad. [LNB]They have signed Tsepo Masilela from Maccabi Haifa and have designs on bringing in Andrew Johnson from Fulham if they can agree a fee and and suitable wage package. [LNB]QPR and West Bromwich have shown interest but may not be able to compete financially. [LNB]As Sportsmail revealed, David Nugent is another in talks over a free contract switch to the Walkers Stadium.[LNB]The word has been that Milner has not been enjoying his time at Manchester City despite his high-profile move their last summer. [LNB]Milner has since won the FA Cup and has a Champions League campaign to look forward to but he wants to play and is growing increasingly concerned at the game time he is likely to receive. [LNB]David Silva is often used on the left hand side of a midfield that is normally anchored by Gareth Barry and Nigel de Jong, while Yaya Toure is a regular fixture and Adam Johnson fluctuates on the right. [LNB]News that City have made concerted efforts to sign Alexis Sanchez from Udinese has not lifted Milner's spirits and clubs are ready to pounce. [LNB]City do not want to sell and obviously wouldn't let him go cheaply if they did. However, a deal may be on when their own purchases are made if Milner remains on the periphery of the first team. [LNB]The 25-year-old made 28 appearances last season, his lowest since 2004, and would like more games.
