Spurs to offer Robbie Keane, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas for Ashley Young

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will dangle Robbie Keane, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas in front of Aston Villa in an attempt to take Ashley Young to White Hart Lane.

Redknapp is a keen admirer of Young and failed in a bid to sign the Villa winger last summer.

A pay rise to £65,000 a week helped keep the 25-year-old at Villa Park and Martin O'Neill has since slapped a £30million price tag on his head.

Young, 25, arrived at Villa from Watford in 2007 for £9.65m.

Spurs cannot afford anything like £30m but Redknapp knows O'Neill, who must sell before he can buy, rates Keane, Bentley and Jenas.

Villa have long been linked with Republic of Ireland striker Keane, who had a successful loan spell at Celtic last season.

Midfielder Bentley has been in and out of the Spurs team while Jenas has failed to live up to his billing since his move from Newcastle five years ago.

Redknapp is also keen on Villa defender Curtis Davies and Micah Richards at Manchester City.
