Solano set for England return with League One side Colchester United

 [LNB] [LNB]Swoop: Nolberto Solano[LNB]Former Peru captain Nolberto Solano has revealed he is set to complete a moveto Coca-Cola League One side Colchester. [LNB]The former Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham midfielder linked up with theEssex club prior to Christmas in a bid to earn a move to the Weston HomesCommunity Stadium. [LNB]Although Us boss Adrian Boothroyd labelled reports he had signed the playerlast week as 'premature', Solano claims he is now poised to pen a deal untilthe end of the season. [LNB]Solano told Peruvian newspaper El Comercio: 'I'm going for six months to playfor Colchester United.[LNB] Talks are already at an advanced stage and I'm travellingto complete the deal.[LNB]'It's a lovely opportunity at 35 years of age to still be considered. My planis to end my (playing) career as a coach and look for work there (in England). [LNB]'If I can play another year, so much the better.'[LNB]Solano made over 250 Premier League appearances during his time in Englandbefore a brief spell with Greek side Larissa.[LNB]He then returned to his homeland to play for Universitario, who he helped towin the Peruvian league title last month. [LNB]Colchester currently lie fourth in League One, just three points behindsecond-placed Norwich with a game in hand[LNB]
