The Dutch midfielder has been linked with a move to Inter for much of the summer and fresh reports claim an agreement has been reached between the two clubs. It is rumoured he will join the Italian giants on loan with a view to a permanent switch at some point over the next year. Villa manager Martin O'Neill also admitted earlier this month that he was interested in the 25-year-old. However, Sneijder maintains that he would like to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu and try to break into the side. "I want to fight for my place at Real Madrid despite there being a lot of rivalry," he told ATP. "On Thursday I will be in Madrid again, so I will find out more then. "I don't want to leave Real. I know the transfer market is open for another two weeks but I am still thinking the same about things."
