Sidwell eyes top-four finish

Aston Villa's Steve Sidwell is confident the club can grab a top-four finish this term. The midfielder admits Villa's squad is a bit small, but he remains pleased with the quality it has to offer. Villa looked as if they could claim Arsenal's place in the top four last season, before a poor finish to the season saw them drop away. "We are light on numbers but the quality is still there to be seen," Sidwell told Sky Sports News. "We have had a good pre-season and are full of confidence and we are raring to go and hopefully pushing for the top-four place. "Man City, Tottenham also look very strong, Everton will be there or thereabouts it could be anyone. "We were very strong up to Christmas and then tailed off but hopefully we can learn from that and put a good finish to what will hopefully be a good season."
