Reo-Coker hails team-mate Makoun

Nigel Reo-Coker has praised the contribution of fellow Aston Villa midfielder Jean Makoun since his £7million move from Lyon in January. Makoun's form has seen him earn a place ahead of Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov. And Reo-Coker believes Makoun will become an even better player once he has adapted fully to the demands of the Barclays Premier League. He said: "Jean is a very good footballer, very intelligent and a very tidy box-to-box midfielder. It is very difficult for him because of the position we are in and he has just come from the French league. "I think he is just realising now the demands of the Premier League and how difficult it is. I personally think he has done a great job for us in that middle ground and will only improve the more he plays. "We've just got to give him a bit more time to settle in because he has done really well since he has been here. There's no doubt in my mind that he is going to be an important player for us."
