QPR v Aston Villa live

Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Barclays Premier League as QPR host Aston Villa at Loftus Road in Sunday's only fixture. The Hoops have been in top form since making a host of new signings at the end of last month but face a test up against Alex McLeish's unbeaten side. Send your thoughts on the action to me at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk or contact me on twitter @Ripinho.[LNB] QPR 1-1 Aston Villa (4pm) QPR: Kenny, Young, Ferdinand, Hall, Traore, Faurlin, Derry (Helguson 79), Wright-Phillips (Smith 86), Taarabt, Barton, Bothroyd (Campbell 66).Subs: Murphy, Orr, Buzsaky, Connolly.[LNB]Goals: Dunne 90+3 (og.)[LNB]Aston Villa: Given, Hutton, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Ireland, Delph, N'Zogbia (Weimann 85), Agbonlahor, Bannan (Albrighton 75).Subs: Guzan, Delfouneso, Beye, Lowry, Gardner.[LNB]Goals: Bannan 58 (pen.)[LNB]Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland)[LNB]18.06: Well that's it from me thanks for following and remember to check back tomorrow night for Norwich v Sunderland. Cheerio.[LNB]18.03: The result sees Villa sit eighth with QPR just below them.[LNB]QPR boss Neil Warnock:[LNB]'We were superb today. Armand was a bit thick and naive but they could have had a few players sent off for second bookable offences.[LNB]'Collins and No. 10 whoever he was [N'Zogbia], could have easily got a red card.'[LNB]18.00: First half? Forgettable. Second half? Massive improvement.[LNB]A draw is a fair result given QPR spent nearly 70 minutes of the match camped outside Villa's penalty area, but that is heartbreak for McLeish's side - especially to concede like that.[LNB]Still they remain unbeaten - one of just four sides.[LNB] Last gasp: QPR players celebrate securing a point in injury time[LNB]Full-time: QPR 1-1 Aston Villa[LNB]90+3min: GOAL! QPR 1-1 Aston Villa[LNB]Scrappy as they get but it's fully deserved. Villa make a hash of trying to clear an aerial ball, leading to Helguson's low cross pin-balling around the six-yard-box which ricochets off Richard Dunne into his own goal.[LNB]90+1min: For all Villa's sins it's Traore, QPR's sole booking, that gets his marching orders.[LNB]There is few complaints though as he is far too late sliding in on Albrighton. Five minutes added on.[LNB]90min: RED CARD (Armand Traore, QPR)[LNB]88min: No luck for QPR today. Hutton is once again the culprit as the ball cannons off his hand inside the box, but this time he is far too close to realistically move his hand out of the way.[LNB]87min: QPR's final change sees Tommy Smith replace Wright-Phillips.[LNB]86min: Second change for Villa with Andreas Weimann on for N'Zogbia.[LNB]85min: I'm sorry but QPR are woeful at free-kicks. They win another one on the edge of the box but this time Campbell fires over. Villa will give these away all day long - and they are.[LNB]84min: N'Zogbia becomes the sixth Villa player to be booked shortly before Warnock gives away another free-kick on the edge of the box. Barton again hits the wall.[LNB]82min: As QPR waste their 11th corner, Villa do indeed counter with Wright-Phillips of all people tracking back to tackle N'Zogbia on the edge of the box. Almost textbook from the winger, I never thought he had it in him.[LNB]81min: The state of play sees QPR doing all the attacking but Villa are leaving Agbonlahor up top for a counter - it's nearly worked a couple of times already so watch this space.[LNB] Collision: Collins receives treatment after an earlier incident with Bothroyd[LNB]79min: An attacking change for QPR as striker Heidar Helguson is on for Shaun Derry.[LNB]78min Frustration from Villa as Agbonlahor cynically clips Anton Ferdinand as he clears QPR's defensive lines. He is booked also.[LNB]75min: Just 15 minutes left and it's all QPR. The contrast in entertainment between the halves has been quite incredible.[LNB]72min: Villa's first change as Marc Albrighton replaces Bannan - a strange one for me.[LNB]71min: This game has really come to life. QPR finally make contact from a corner with a header towards goal that clearly strikes Hutton's arm. That's more of a penalty than the one Villa were awarded.[LNB]70min: Madness from Stiliyan Petrov who despite getting the slightest of touches to the ball, completely wipes out Wright-Phillips from the side. Unsurprisingly he is booked.[LNB]69min: QPR are now well on top. Campbell nods the ball down for Wright-Phillips whose shot across goal is well palmed away by Given - that is the closest QPR have come.[LNB]66min: A change for QPR as DJ Campbell replaces Bothroyd.[LNB]64min: Meanwhile Collins is booked for a foul in the build up to a QPR attack. That's three of the Villa back four on bookings.[LNB]62min: QPR are still wasting free-kicks, with Faurlin still in rugby mode as he balloons a 23-yard effort over the bar.[LNB]61min: One side of this ground has seen everything, it's incredible how the game is now so one-sided in Villa's favour.[LNB] Keeping his cool: Bannan slotted his penalty into the bottom corner[LNB]58min: GOAL! QPR 0-1 ASTON VILLA[LNB]It's a very soft penalty as Traore is adjudged to have pushed Agbonlahor at the back post and it's very harsh that he is booked.[LNB]Either way Barry Bannan steps up and hits a sweet low penalty right into the bottom corner - no stopping those.[LNB]57min: PENALTY (Aston Villa)[LNB]56min: Mighty close! Fabian Delph latches on to Bannan's lovely chipped through ball but with Kenny advancing off his line he can only lob his effort wide.[LNB]Not even a man with Agbonlahor's pace could chase it down as it drops past the post.[LNB]54min: It's amazing what a 15 minute break can do for a team. Ireland feeds Bannan whose rocket shot from outside the box only succeeds in hitting Agbonlahor before Kenny collects. Hey, it's decent progress from the visitors.[LNB]51min: This is much better. It's a far more open game now as the play switches end-to-end. Can't help but feel that plays more into the hosts favour though.[LNB]48min: Dodgy ground for Hutton. Wright-Phillips gets in behind the full-back again, leading to the Scot bringing him down with a sliding challenge.[LNB]Confusingly he claims he got the ball but Michael Oliver is having none of it and books him.[LNB] Apologies: Warnock reacts after fouling Barton[LNB]Second-half: With the evening sunshine still...shining, the second period is underway.[LNB]17.01: Sides back out for the second-half. No changes that I can see.[LNB]16.56: Story of the half? QPR dominated but their keeper is the only one who has had to make a solitary save.[LNB]16.51: From OptaJoe:[LNB]44 - B Bannan's 44th-minute effort was Villa's first shot today, only two sides have waited longer for a shot in a 2011/12 PL game. Patience[LNB] In thought: England boss Fabio Capello (blue tie) watches proceedings at Loftus Road[LNB]Half time: QPR 0-0 Aston Villa[LNB]45min: Three minutes added on as some autumnal sunshine bathes the pitch.[LNB]44min: Brilliant stop from Kenny. Barry Bannan fires a 25-yard-free-kick destined for the top corner until the Irish stopper dives to his left to parry it away.[LNB]43min: Consecutive Villa corners. Ok they don't come to anything but signs they are starting to show some attacking intent - and as far as this game is concerned that is a good thing.[LNB]41min: As you would expect, QPR waste the set-piece when Bothroyd's shot cannons off the wall - Barton is prime candidate in those positions but he was off the field receiving treatment.[LNB]40min: Kenny easily collects and that will probably be our full quota of Villa attacks this half.[LNB]Goodness me, that is brutal! Warnock gets nowhere near the ball as he goes right through Barton with a high challenge 25-yards out. He is booked but he is lucky not to be sent-of, there could have been few complaints had he got his marching orders.[LNB] Keep your friends close...QPR boss Warnock (second left) and Villa manager McLeish (fourth right) look on[LNB]39min: WAIT! Villa have a corner![LNB]37min: 'Boring, boring Villa' goes up the chants from the home fans. Bit harsh, QPR's dominance is the reason the visitors can't get past the halfway line.[LNB]34min: I don't think I have ever seen a team dominate so much yet go hardly anywhere near to scoring.[LNB]Given hasn't had a save to make yet it seems this whole half has been played in front of his goal.[LNB]31min: And all of them have been rubbish. This time it goes short to the edge of the box where Alejandro Faurlin blasts it miles over. Too much rugby World Cup for that boy.[LNB]30min: Nearly half-an-hour gone and I don't think Paddy Kenny has touched the ball in the QPR goal as the hosts win yet another corner.[LNB]26min: And now Collins is back on. QPR have had five shots on goal compared to their opponents zero.[LNB]25min: Ireland needs to wise up on his defending. Bothroyd's ball to the back post catches him asleep as Joey Barton steals in to just fire wide. Ireland looked completely unaware he was even there.[LNB]24min: Villa down to 10 men while Collins gets treatment which has strangely benefited them as the game has hit a scrappy period.[LNB] Extra baggage: Villa's Stiliyan Petrov is challenged by QPR's Luke Young[LNB]23min: After Bothroyd and Collins tangle in the air, there will be a stoppage while Collins is treated for a nose bleed.[LNB]21min: Alex McLeish is furious on the touchline, he is desperately trying to move his players up the pitch. The visitors' midfield has been non-existent. [LNB]18min: Credit to Villa though as they once again head clear - they are camped inside their own half though.[LNB]Another chance as Barton whips in a free-kick which Bothroyd heads wide. He should do better.[LNB]17min: ANOTHER QPR corner, Bothroyd shows James Collins a clean pair of heels before his low ball across goal is cleared by Warnock.[LNB] On the charge: Traore (left) attempts a cross as QPR bosses the opening exchanges[LNB]15min: Carnage, Warnock gives the ball away with the ball eventually falling in the box to Wright-Phillips first then Jay Bothroyd second - the latter seeing his shot blocked for a corner.[LNB]14min: Fair to say we haven't seen much from Villa in attack. Shaun Wright-Phillips has lined up on the left and looks to have the beating of Alan Hutton early on.[LNB]11min: It goes short, which Villa are never tested from before they once again clear.[LNB]10min: They win another though as a Taarabt free-kick is deflected wide.[LNB]8min: With the weight of Arsenal off of him, Armand Traore is a transformed player. Here he shows pace and skill on the left flank that wins the hosts a corner. Villa clear their lines though.[LNB]6min: What a strike! Adel Taarabt beats his man 30 yards out before curling an absolute beauty towards the top corner that smacks the upright and goes out for a goal kick. Shay Given was not going to stop that in a month of Sundays.[LNB]3min: Villa pressing at the start through Stephen Warnock on the left.[LNB]I will be honest I thought he disappeared off the face of the earth during the second half of last season. Good to see him back.[LNB]Kick-off: Away we go.[LNB] Out of office: Prime Minister David Cameron (centre right) was in attendance[LNB]15.58: Some famous faces inside the crowd including England boss Fabio Capello and David Cameron. Told you this was an attractive fixture.[LNB]15.55: That is one cramped tunnel. The players make their way out on to the pitch almost in single file. Not a criticism by the way, you have to love old school stadiums.[LNB]15.50: An overcast afternoon in west London where it is a little windy too, Loftus Road filling up nicely. It's not a big stadium but its close proximity to the pitch makes for a great atmosphere.[LNB]15.47: QPR are unbeaten in the Premier League against Aston Villa at Loftus Road...ok, that doesn't sound quite as impressive when that period ranges between 1993 and 1995.[LNB]Hard to believe QPR have been away from the top flight for that long.[LNB]15.45: Wow, it almost passed me by Stephen Ireland starts for Villa. What's happened to him? he used to tear trees up when he was at Manchester City. Villa Park as not seen the best of him.[LNB]15.40: REF WATCH: Michael Oliver[LNB]The fact there is not much dirt stuck to him suggest he is actually very good at his job.[LNB]He has only been in the Premier League the last year or so but to my knowledge hasn't made any high profile blunders.[LNB]I'm not saying he hasn't got a few decisions incorrect but the 26-year-old has certainly proved those wrong who said he was too young at this level.[LNB]Don't let me down after that Michael![LNB]15.35: Full team news from Loftus Road:[LNB]QPR v Aston VillaQPR: Kenny, Young, Ferdinand, Hall, Traore, Faurlin, Derry, Wright-Phillips, Taarabt, Barton, Bothroyd. Subs: Murphy, Orr, Campbell, Buzsaky, Connolly, Smith, Helguson.[LNB]Aston Villa: Given, Hutton, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Ireland, Delph, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Bannan. Subs: Guzan, Albrighton, Delfouneso, Beye, Weimann, Lowry, Gardner.[LNB]Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland)[LNB]15.30: How will Villa cope without Darren Bent today? I remember last season before they signed the striker they were desperately struggling for goals - so much so they were heading for a relegation battle. Some pressure on Gabriel Agbonlahor.[LNB] Not your day: Gareth Barry (right) blows a chance to equalise for Villa as they crash out to QPR in 2008's Carling Cup[LNB]15.25: You have to go back to 1995 the last time these two teams met at Loftus Road, where the home side destined to be relegated, won 1-0.[LNB]But their last meeting in 2008 ended in a shock victory for QPR, who as lower league opposition defeated Villa 1-0 at Villa Park in the Carling Cup.[LNB]There is always goals in this fixture too. You have to back to 1977 for the last 0-0.[LNB]15.21: QPR make one enforced change to the side that beat Wolves 3-0 last weekend for this afternoon's match against Aston Villa.[LNB]Manager Neil Warnock is forced to replace Danny Gabbidon with Fitz Hall due to a knee injury, while Luke Young lines against the side for whom he started the season.[LNB]Aston Villa make two changes from the mid-week Carling Cup defeat against Bolton, with Marc Albrighton and Nathan Delfouneso replaced by Charles N'Zogbia and Fabian Delph at Loftus Road.[LNB]15.17: A nice reward for the winner today will see them go above Liverpool and into fifth. It makes those boos heard at Villa Park mid-week even more remarkable. I suppose the next 90 minutes though will illustrate if they have a point or not.[LNB]15.13: And it's a mixed bag as far as Villa are concerned. They remain unbeaten in the league but that hasn't stopped the boo boys from voicing their dissatisfaction in the Carling Cup defeat to Bolton mid-week.[LNB]I can't see them quieting down if Villa lose again today.[LNB]15.09: QPR starting XI:[LNB]Kenny, Derry, Hall, Taarabt, Bothroyd, Faurlin, Traore, Barton, Young, Wright-Phillips. Ferdinand.[LNB]15.06: Some interesting scenarios today. If QPR win, it will start raising expectations over where they could really finish this season - recent weeks suggest they certainly are not playing like a side aiming to beat relegation.[LNB]15.03: Aston Villa starting XI:[LNB]Given, Hutton, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Delph, Ireland, N'Zogbia, Bannan, Agbonlahor.[LNB]15.00: I know this game could finish 7-7 and it still won't take the attention away from Fernando Torres on Monday morning (sorry 'Nando), but that doesn't make this match any less intriguing.[LNB]QPR v Aston Villa doesn't scream blockbuster but stick with this folks, it's always the ones you least expect.
