Follow all the action as it happened in the Premier League's four matches. Bolton come back from two goals down to draw against Birmingham, Liverpool edge out West Brom, while Sunderland defeat Manchester City in stoppage time. The day's final game saw Villa defeat Everton in an entertaining encounter at Villa Park.[LNB] Premier League live scoresBolton 2-2 Birmingham FT[LNB]Liverpool 1-0 West Brom FT[LNB]Sunderland 1-0 Man City FT [LNB]Aston Villa 1-0 Everton FT [LNB]18.00: It started great and ended superbly, Bolton's fightback in the earlier kick-off set the tone for the afternoon, and Villa's win over Everton is arguably the best 1-0 game you will ever see.[LNB]Liverpool's season is finally up and running after their somewhat unconvincing win against West Brom.[LNB]But Roberto Mancini's City came crashing down to earth after Darren Bent's late late penalty stole three points for Sunderland[LNB]Thank your for following today's coverage that's all from me folks.[LNB]17.56: But a big win for MacDonald, who's side were everything they were not against Newcastle last week, mainly organised at the back and maybe he could still get the job after all.[LNB]17.55: What a superb game that was, Everton will never lose a game again playing like that and they will be scratching their heads how they have not got at least a draw today.[LNB]17.53: Full-time: Aston Villa 1-0 Everton[LNB]17.51: Oh my what a save that is! Louis Saha's low shot from inside the box is tipped just around the post by the 39-year-old Friedel who has frankly been brilliant.[LNB]17.50: It's cleared, but everyone for Villlais back, final minute it's a case of can Villa hold on.[LNB]17.49: Deep in to stoppage time another Everton corner.[LNB]17.48: All Everton, they will be just as dumbfounded as me as to how they have not scored today.[LNB]17.46: Injury time boards has gone up and there is five added minutes. The Villa fans, who have been superb, are up in arms and loudly let us know they are not amused.[LNB]17.45: Petrov's back on but now Stephen Warnock has gone down, and it is his turn to quickly receive treatment off the field.[LNB] England call? Arteta tried in vain to lead an Everton fight back[LNB]17.45: Stiliyan Petrov seems to have hurt his shoulder and he trudges off to get some quick treatment, meanwhile Everton continue their Villa bombardment.[LNB]17.44: Number 15....just five minutes to go for Villa to hang on, and now number 16![LNB]17.42: Another Everton corner...number 14. How they have not scored I just don't know.[LNB]17.38: Back up Villa's end we go and Everton win another free-kick, Villa clear their lines though and with 10 minutes to go John Heitinga comes on for Tony Hibbert.[LNB]17.36: While Everton are busy throwing men forward Villa are happy to play on the break.[LNB]Ashley Young finds himself in a one on two situation, but after failing to get past the Everton defenders attempts a chip which fails to trouble Howard.[LNB]17.35: The game is becoming stretched again, Everton are back on the attack and have won their eighth corner.[LNB]17.32: Lovely, lovely move for Villa which should have been a goal.[LNB]A move with neat short passes ends when Ashely Young forces Howard in to a fine stop from close range. But with the goal at his mercy Marc Albrighton's first time effort is mis-kicked over and wide, he had time to take a touch as well.[LNB]17.27: Cahill's free-kick clips the wall and as Saha jumps up to win a header, the ref blows for an Aston Villa free-kick, loudly and ironically cheered by the Villa fans.[LNB]17.26: Jack Rodwell can't continue and he limps off injured with Seamus Coleman on in his place.[LNB]Rodwell's injury is bad news all round with an England call-up doing the rounds in the rumour mill.[LNB] Last ditch challenge: Phil Jagielka's block enabled Tim Howard to parry away Young's shot[LNB]17.25: Interesting, Everton win a free-kick 25 yards out and they have quite a few people who can strike from that distance...half the team probably.[LNB]17.23: Villa who of course threw away a 1-0 lead at half-time midweek, bring on Gabriel Agbonlahor for John Carew.[LNB]17.18: End to end Stuff! Louis Saha from close range hits a fantastic volley which Friedel does superb to dive to his right and keep out.[LNB]17.16: But Villa go close! John Carew doeshis job and fires across Howard forcing the keeper to parry towardsAshley Young, with the goal at his mercy his shot's sting is taken outby Phil Jagielka who throws his body in the way allowing Howard to tidy up. [LNB]17.15: Sloppy play from Villa, and Eerton are now starting to assert themselves in this half as they pressure the Villa back line.[LNB]17.13: Right on cue, Jermaine Beckford makes way for Saha, so often the former Manchester United striker has turned a game in to Everton's favour.[LNB]17.12: Tempo has slowed down this half which seems to be playing in to Villa's hands as Loius Saha is getting ready to come on.[LNB] Tussle: Marc Albrighton of Aston Villa gets tackles Leighton Baines of Everton[LNB]17.10: Everton yet to really pressure Villa this half but they have started to boss possession in the last few minutes.[LNB]17.06: So far it's Villa starting brightly, Ashley Young charges towards the penalty area but lets fly form 30 yards out with an effort that sails just wide of Howard's goal.[LNB]17.01: Everton dominated the first half and were unlucky to go in to the break a goal down, not often an away side dominate both periods so should be interesting to see how this final half pans out.[LNB]16.58: Liverpool stutter to their first win of the season but it all adds up come May so Roy Hodgson will just be delighted his season is finally up and running.[LNB]16.56: Full-time: Sunderland 1-0 Manchester City[LNB]16.54: It took a couple of minutes to take that penalty so we may have a tiny bit extra added on at the Stadium of Light.[LNB] Winner: Darren Bent converts his injury time spot-kick[LNB]16.53: GOAL! Craig Gardner storms down the right and after floating in a cross to the far post an unmarked James McFadden makes good contact with a left foot volley but it's straight at Jussi Jaaskelainen, who comfortably takes.[LNB]Move of the match so far and either side of the Bolton keeper and it was a certain goal.[LNB]14.02: Bolton have finally come to life pressuring Birmingham through corners and free-kicks but they haven't tested Ben Foster enough in the Birmingham goal.[LNB] Under pressure: Carr holds Petrov off the ball[LNB]13.57: Incidentally after scoring a league goal every 8.8 games with Wycombe & Cardiff, it has taken Roger Johnson 41 games to score for Birmingham. Thanks to opta for that stat attack.[LNB]13.53: Watching that penalty shout again, it's actually comical how Cameron Jerome goes down, poor attempt t trying to win a spot-kick. Bolton starting to edge this encounter which has been far from a classic.[LNB]13.50: Penalty shout for Birmingham, Cameron Jerome goes down after a free-kick in to the Bolton box, but in truth he has gone down far too easily, and the ref rightly allows play to go on. [LNB]13.46: Quarter of an hour gone, and Bolton still have not really got going yet, Ben Foster having very little to do.[LNB]13.42: Lucky boy. Stephen Carr makes a complete hash of a Kevin Davies knock down, by slipping and letting in Martin Petrov, the full-back though recovers to block the Bulgarian's eventual strike.[LNB]13.38: Birmingham have conceded first in both their Premier League games this season but no problems at the moment they have settled in well.[LNB] Dream start: Roger Johnson put City in to the lead after four minutes[LNB]13.35: GOAL! Bolton 0-1 Birmingham[LNB]I admit it wasn't directly from a free-kick, but it is well worked, Lee Bowyer does well to beat the offside trap and as he lays the ball across goal, Cameron Jerome can't quite make full contact but Roger Johnson can as he stabs home outside the six yard box.[LNB]13.34: Two words. Head tennis.
