Portsmouth sign Aston Villa youngster Jonathan Hogg on loan for rest of the season

Portsmouth have signed Aston Villa midfielder Jonathan Hogg on loan until the end of the season.[LNB]The 22-year-old has been tracked by a host of npower Championship clubs but Pompey have managed to push through a deal and Hogg could be drafted straight into the squad to face Burnley.[LNB] Learning his trade: Hogg will drop down a division to gain first-team experience[LNB]Hogg has only recently signed a long-term contract at Villa Park having impressed new boss Gerard Houllier.[LNB]'Jonathan has competed very well in the games he has played this season and this loan move will greatly assist in his career development,'[LNB]Houllier told the club's official website.
