Pools look at Villa youngster
Hartlepool United have handed a trial to Aston Villa's young striker Tobias Mikaelsson.[LNB] The Swede has yet to make a first-team appearance for Villa and has been offered the chance to earn a move to Hartlepool.[LNB]He played for the League One club's reserves on Wednesday, but failed to score in a 4-2 defeat by Bradford City.[LNB]Mikaelsson spent a month on loan at Port Vale last season, making six appearances, including one in a 3-2 loss against Hartlepool.[LNB]Current Pools boss Chris Turner is assessing potential attacking options, with Joel Porter expected to return to Australia in the summer.[LNB]
