Our Champions League destiny is in our own hands, says Villa's Luke Young

Luke Young admits Aston Villa will only have themselves to blame if they fail to secure Champions League football next season. Martin O'Neill's team are just three points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal after only taking one point from their last two games. But Young insists Villa will be focusing on their own games rather than worrying about their rivals. 'We are aware of the situation and the games that are to come. If we don't finish fourth it will be down to ourselves. 'We don't need to worry about others because it is down to us. When you look at it, destiny is in our own hands with a quarter of the season to go. 'We would have taken this. We just have to keep focused on what we need to do now. There are 10 games to go. That is like a mini-season for us and we will be up for the challenge. 'If anyone would have asked whether we would have taken the number of points we have at this stage, and the position in the table, we would have snapped their hands off. 'That's no consolation for the last two games (Stoke and Manchester City) and I accept that - but we know what we have to do now and it is all in our hands.'
