O'Neill - We needed second goal

Martin O'Neill blamed Aston Villa's failure to kill off the game for the 1-1 draw at Bolton.[LNB] Villa had taken the lead at the Reebok when Ashley Young's cross-cum shot found the back of the net, but Tamir Cohen's 60th minute strike saw both teams take a share of the spoils.[LNB]"It was a tough physical game, but we expected that," O'Neill told Sky Sports.[LNB]"I thought we tried, but it was very difficult to get it down and play today, I thought we tried to do that.[LNB]"[We] got in front just before half-time which I thought we deserved on the balance of play.[LNB]"Bolton scored just at a time I thought that we were in pretty well decent control of the game - you never are of course unless you [have a] two or three goal advantage.[LNB]Second goal"I felt we started the second-half pretty brightly and got possession of the ball and we obviously needed that second goal but it wasn't to be."[LNB]Both Young and Gabriel Agbonlahor have been earmarked for the PFA Young Player of the Year award and O'Neill had praise for Saturday's goalscorer.[LNB]"He [Young] has been magnificent, he has been voted for, he is certainly in the six for the PFA award and he's deserved it. I think he has had a sensational season."[LNB]When asked how he feels about having two players nominated for the award O'Neill added: "I am delighted, absolutely.[LNB]"I think I can take some reflective glory in all of that but great credit to the two of them, there are in the mix and in with the possibility of winning it.[LNB]"I hope one of the two wins the award but overall both have had fantastic seasons."[LNB]
