Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has brushed off criticism of his transfer policy and reminded supporters of the signings he made last summer.[LNB] O'Neill has come under fire from some quarters after failing to bring any new players into his squad with the new season less than a fortnight away. [LNB]O'Neill accepts his squad will need strengthening if Villa are to break into the top four this term, but he has a habit of making his moves late on and has no intention of changing that policy.[LNB]"I'm not remotely interested (in the criticism). Honestly I couldn't care less whether I get unfairly criticised," O'Neill told the Birmingham Mail.[LNB]"What I will say is the business that we did in the last few days of August last year really made our season.[LNB]"You go by the rules and run that length of time.
