O'Neill and Bale win monthly awards
Tottenham's Gareth Bale has been named Barclays Player of the Month for April, with Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill named Manager of the Month.[LNB] Bale put in a series of outstanding performances that helped Spurs remain on course to finish fourth in the Premier League.[LNB]The Welshman scored what proved to be the decisive goal in both 2-1 wins over London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea this month.[LNB]Villa chief O'Neill was handed the manager gong after his side revitalised their European hopes with four victories and a draw from their five matches in April.
