No favours from Friedel as Newcastle head for crunch clash at Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel warned Newcastle United: 'We have something to play for too.'   Newcastle must win at Villa Park on Sunday and hope other results go their way to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.   But Friedel said Villa could also win a big prize with a home victory.   He said: 'Things have been been disappointing recently but we are still fighting for fifth place which might not bode well for Newcastle.   'We finished sixth last season and we want to better that this year.   'I've been involved in one or two relegation battles with Blackburn and it's not nice. I wouldn't wish relegation on anyone but we do the best we can at all times.   'It's very difficult to play free-flowing football in that position. Newcastle have a lot of talented attacking players but you can tighten up and not show your stuff when the pressure is on.'
