Milner: Villa can turn it around

24 March 2009 08:08
The 5-0 mauling at Anfield at the weekend made it just one win from their last seven Premier League games and Villa now trail Arsenal in the battle for fourth place. The Gunners have hit form at the right time and their win over Newcastle on Saturday sent them three points clear of Martin O'Neill's side. After impressing for most of the season, Villa are now in danger of throwing it all away and with Manchester United away next up after the international break things could get worse before they get better but Milner is in determined mood. "We must turn it around. It's a tough game coming up but it's down to us to turn it around and put things right," he said in the Daily Star. "Due to the international break, it means we have a long time with that result on our minds, we can't put it right for two weeks. "Have we let the club down? Of course. Losing any game is disappointing but to lose 5-0 is just not good enough especially considering how well we have done this season. "We should not be losing by that scoreline. It should never be difficult to show your character. "The least anyone can expect is 100 per cent and that just wasn't good enough." Prem To Finish In Top 4 2008/09 Win Outright: Aston Villa 7/2
