Milner To Start Against Germany

Villa winger will get another chance to impress James Milner is ready to play a key role as England go in search of a win against rivals Germany on Sunday. The Villa winger wil start on the right side of midfield after his brilliant display against Slovenia last time out made him the No 1 choice in his favoured position. Three Lions boss Fabio Capello admitted in his Saturday press conference that he only has one selection dilemma ahead of the World Cup last-16 clash. Capello is debating whether to start with fit-again Ledley King at centre-back ahead of Matthew Upson and Jamie Carragher. But it does look likely that Upson will be the man in pole position as he was superb in the crucial 1-0 win in the final group game. Capello's admittance that he is only questioning selection for one position would seem to indicate he will name an unchanged line-up, meaning Milner will get another chance to shine. It is an opportunity that he has earned after sending in a pinpoint cross for hitman Jermain Defoe to convert and send England through to the knock-out stages. The Villa boy proved far more effective than his rivals for the right-sided role, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Aaron Lennon, who have failed to outline their individual credentials in the tournament to date. And Milner will be hoping to secure his own and England's place in the quarter-finals in the imminent battle of Bloemfontein.
