Milner: Downing will deliver for Villa

The England international arrived at Villa Park in the summer from Middlesbrough with a fractured foot, but Martin O'Neill was nonetheless willing to part with £10million, which could rise to £12million, to secure his services.[LNB]Downing's debut for his new side has been pencilled in for next month and Milner, who is competing with his new team-mate for a place in England's World Cup squad, is confident he will add real quality to Villa's squad.[LNB]"It is great to have Stewart nearly fit," Milner told the Birmingham Mail.
